Catalyst = Compound of many chemicals: (methyl ethyl ketone peroxide)
God = Many characteristics and qualities
Doctrine = Teaching
Trinity = In Christian Theology, a union of three divine persons: Father (Romans 1:7), Son (John 1:14), Holy Spirit (Acts 4) in one.
Genesis 1:26-27 God -1st Reference to Trinity (“Let US”)
Genesis 3:22 God is Tri-Plural (“Like one of us”)
Isaiah 45:5 God says He’s it, no other can compare
4 Logical = Beyond human understanding and logic, triune in nature
God’s personality, emotions, character, creativity, it’s amazing He loves us.
Genesis 6:5-6 God’s heart was grieved that He made us, grief & disappointment.
1Kings 11:9 God was angry at Solomon, HE got mad.
Both of these scripture references show we are like Him/He’s like us in many ways, YET HE is faithful to His promises!
Deuteronomy 6:13 He’s a jealous God
Revelation 3:19: He loves us, He rebukes and disciplines us. Be sincere!
Proverbs 6:16 He hates, finds sin/evil detestable, He can hate but never sins
He’s 3 Omni’s:
Omniscient: There is nothing God doesn’t know, He knows everything
Omnipotent: All powerful, beyond human understanding
Omnipresent: He’s everywhere at once, witness to everything that happens
Moral attributes: Holy, Righteous, and Merciful in His loving-kindness.
1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love, does not know God, for God is Love…”
(8-16 is great in 1st John 4)
GOD ROCKS!

[I attended Surfer’s chapel in the mid-90’s, right before moving to New Mexico. Everyone at Surfer’s chapel either surfed regularly, or were married/dating/or otherwise related to someone who did. As a result everyone who attended SC knew how surfboards are made. Surfboards, at the time and probably even now in some places (I’m not in the scene anymore, so it could have changed over the 3-decades I’ve been in New Mexico). Surfboards, basically were/are foam shapes covered with fiberglass and sealed with catalyst-activated resin. Therefore this sermon, and the series, was on-point with the fellowship in attendance.]
